Peels
Improve your complexion, achieve a rejuvenation, and remove unwanted blemishes
Peels are helpful for skin rejuvenation, improvement of skin texture and correction of blemishes, skin irregularities and shallow acne scars.
In Devonshire Dermatology we use a different type of the peels: mechanical, physical, enzymatic, and chemical.
Chemical peels are performed by the precise application of particular chemicals. The peel solution is applied to the skin, causing an exfoliation of the surface damaged layer a few days later. The damaged layer is replaced by fresh, unblemished skin cells, giving you a younger look, with a clearer skin tone and texture.
A large range of different chemicals are used, each with a different aim. The peeling may be mild, superficial and gentle, or it may be stronger, deeper and more efficacious. This all depends upon the indication for treatment. Sun is best avoided for a short time after peeling.
