Botox

At Devonshire Dermatology, we use Botox  for cosmetic reasons and also for medical reasons.

Cosmetic Botox

Our approach to cosmetic botox is tailor-made and bespoke. We use multiple mini-injections to improve expression lines with a more natural and more long-lastinging effect. We reject the 3 and 5 point formula favouring instead a personalised technique. Our doctors at Devonshire Dermatology have long experience with Botox and have published, taught and lectured extensively on this subject.

Medical Botox

We take a multidisciplinary approach to using botox as a medical treatment. Working here at Devonshire Dermatology we have dermatologists, a maxillofacial surgeon and an aesthetic doctor. We use botox to treat a variety of problems, including bruxism, masseter muscle hypertrophy, migraine & headaches, trigger point pain, myofascial pain syndrome, shoulder/posture correction, muscle twitching (nervous tics) and much much more.

Botox is a neuroprotein, which has been safely and widely used for more than 30 years in various fields of medicine (neurology, dermatology, aesthetics, dentistry, orthopedics, gynecology etc.).

Botox prevents release from the nerve endings of the neuromodulator (acetyl choline) that activates muscle contraction so resulting in muscle relaxation.

We use Botox for many conditions caused by muscle spasm of the head, neck and back, which can manifest as tension headache, migraine, pain in the cheeks & temples because of teeth grinding, other chronic pain syndromes, shoulder tension, back ache or disordered posture. Botox can help in all these situations.

Rosacea can also be improved by Botox. Treatment is almost painless and does not cause scarring.
