Psoriasis

Eliminate psoriasis holistically and enjoy a confidence boost

If you have red scaly patches on your knees, elbows, or scalp,  you may be suffering from psoriasis. This is a common, non-contagious skin complaint that is best resolved holistically. We will look at potential triggers for your condition with a view to not only providing much needed relief, but also to prevent it from coming back.

Psoriasis is often an inherited condition. You may experience it simply as red skin, or it may be itchy too. We will provide creams and other treatments to immediately soothe the skin, but we will also look into identifying factors in your life that may be aggravating your psoriasis. If we can work out in any particular patient what is making the skin red, and then advise them to avoid it, a good improvement can be expected. If we just use creams or other treatments, they will work but, unless the aggravating factors have been removed, the psoriasis will just come back.

Common triggers are sudden changes in temperature, certain foods, hormones, and stress levels. By adopting this holistic approach, we can reduce the need to prescribe immunosuppressive or biological treatments.

Creams and light therapy are often prescribed for psoriasis with good results. Stronger medicines may be needed for more severe cases. We will treat each patient holistically to try and find the root cause of their psoriasis.
